Yesterday was a frustrating day…That aside, however, we did have a lovely visit with my “step-nephew” who is more like a friend since, oddly, we are the same age. He recently moved to Wallkill, NY and we hadn’t seen him in a long time so the scene itself was much overdue. On the way home we stopped at the famous Carlo’s Bakery (from the tv show, Cake Boss) and had a nice little cup o’ joe and pastries. Needless to say, we ordered way more than we needed too and I am currently being tempted by chocolate mousse cake and a mini tiramisu in the fridge.
But, having never been to Hoboken, NJ, I found that it was quite quaint and charming and I really liked it overall. If the temperature hadn’t been falling by the second, my little one contracting a cold, and the rush hour traffic starting to pour through, I would’ve loved to have stuck around and discovered a little more of the area. But, maybe there will be time for that on the next trip, eh?
Anyway, I wanted to share my outfit with you because it featured something that everyone is in love with this season… a trench coat! Only mine is a shade between tiffany blue and mint green, instead of plain old tan; and I think it works just as well as a neutral.
